Stephen John Mittl Jr.

Stephen John Mittl, Jr. is an internationally-known and juried abstract artist. The finished pieces are non-representational and emerge as a product of his spontaneous creative process.

The results are bold, compelling and dramatic paintings that reflect his passion for color and abstraction. The essence of his art is in its constant evolution through experimentation with different techniques, styles, and painting tools.

He hopes that his art will invite conversation among its viewers.

A Wyomissing, Pennsylvania resident, Stephen graduated from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

He has exhibited at the Louis Long Gallery / GAPS in Reading, Pennsylvania; Genesius Theatre in Reading, Pennsylvania; GoggleWorks in Reading, Pennsylvania; Studio B in Boyertown, Pennsylvania; and America on Wheels Museum in Allentown, Pennsylvania; and Chelsea Plating in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Stephen has been featured in Berks County Living Magazine, and he is a contributing artist to the yearly "Art for Arf's Sake" auction to benefit the Human Society of Berks County.
